Obituary of Nancy E. Fischer

Durhamville-Nancy E. Fischer, age 73, of Foster Corners Road passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning October 13, 2023 in the Oneida Health Extended Care Facility. She was born on August 17, 1950 in Canastota, New York a daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Rumble) King and was a graduate of the Canastota Schools. On August 23, 2003 Nancy and James Fischer were united in marriage in Kirkville, New York and have shared that loving vow of over twenty years together. Prior to her retirement in 2007 Nancy was employed in the clerical department of the New York State Division of Parole. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and decorating her home. Surviving is her husband James Fischer of Durhamville, one son, Robert J. (Jessica Klasen) Underwood III of Bridgeport, one daughter Erin Henderson of New Hartford, one grandson Robert J. Underwood IV of Bridgeport and one sister Linda Soules of Greene. She was predeceased by her parents and brother David King. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A funeral service with Pastor Donna Chapman officiating will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following.
