Obituary of Evelyn E. Ford

Westmoreland-Evelyn E. Ford, age 82, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2023 in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center surrounded by her family.

  She was born on May 15, 1941 in Utica, New York a daughter of the late Lee E. and Elizabeth (Jones) Edwards and was a 1959 graduate of Clinton High School.

  In 1960 Evelyn went to work at Oneida Limited Silversmith working in the factory and when the factory closed moved over to the Factory Store having been with the company for forty years. Following that employment Evelyn worked in the Westmoreland School cafeteria until her retirement in 2016.

  On July 20, 1963 Evelyn and Donald C. Ford were united in marriage in Vernon Center, NY and shared that union of forty-one years together until Donald’s death on November 9, 2004.

  Surviving is her one daughter, Deborah Seymour (Bruce Edwards) of Westmoreland, one son, David Morris (Angie Davis) of Clinton, her beloved grandchildren, Lynne (Chuck), Kristina (Kolby), Ryan, Kyle (Claudia), great-grandchildren, Damian, Jazmine, Benjamin and Ava, brother-in-law Milton Brown and Sister-in-Law Carol McLaren and longtime friend Maryjane Fox and several nieces and nephews..

  She was predeceased by her parents, husband Donald, son-in-law, Delos Seymour, Sister Ruth Ford, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Florence Ford, Gene Ford, Arnold and Tina Ford, Agnes Brown, Mike McLaren, and two half-sisters and their spouse, Marion (Pete) Petrick and Corrine (Eddy) Winslow.

  Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Vernon Center Cemetery, College Hill Rd., Vernon Center, NY.
