Obituary of Alan K. Vrooman

Verona-Alan K. Vrooman, age 59, of Merry Street passed away early Friday morning February 25, 2022 in the Oneida Healthcare.

  Alan was born on September 29, 1962 in Oneida, New York a son of the late Donald T. and Nola E. (Hasty) Vrooman. He was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools and attended Morrisville College.

  Prior to his retirement due to his illness Alan was employed as a machine operator with Westmoor Limited of Sherrill.

  In his spare time Alan enjoyed snowmobiling, attending concerts, listening to Grateful Dead music and spending time with his many friends and family.

  Surviving are his two children, Sara Vrooman of Canastota and Bradley Vrooman of Oneida, one beloved grandson, Ashton Skinner of Canastota, brother, Robert (Kelly) Vrooman of  Vernon, one step-brother, Steve Keller of Fl. and several nieces and nephews.

  Alan was predeceased by his parents Donald and Nola Vrooman, and two brothers, Steven C. Vrooman and Barry Vrooman.

  Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday March 1, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Burial will be Wedenesday, March 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Verona Cemetery, Verona, NY. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifunetalhome.com
