Obituary of Harold L. Brewer
Vernon Center – Harold L. "Hector" Brewer, 83, formerly of Vernon Center and recently of Waterville Residential Care Center, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2021.
Harold was born on April 15,1938 in Utica, NY, the son of Charles and Florence (Evans) Brewer. He attended Clinton and Westmoreland schools before entering the US Army. He was honorably discharged in October 1963.
Hector enjoyed being around people and spent much of his working career as a bartender at The Village Tavern in Clinton and The Seafare in Whitesboro. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion of Vernon and the VFW of Clinton.
Hector is survived by his brother, Warren Evans, Clinton, Sister-in-law Nancy Evans, Clinton, Charlotte Bowers, Rome, Arvin Evans, Utica and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Brian, whom he mourned for the remainder of his life. Also, his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Larry Dunn, and his brothers Kenny, Howie, and Carl Evans, and Chuck and Bobby Brewer.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 11:00 to 1:00, at Malecki Funeral Home, 23 Front St Vernon, NY with the service following at 1:00. Interment with Military honors will follow at the Vernon Center Cemetery.
