Obituary of Marlene L. Dauksza
Vernon- Marlene L. Dauksza, age 64, of State Rt. 26 passed away early Saturday morning, November 30, 2019, at her home.
She was born on July 5, 1955 in Rome, New York, a daughter of the late Donald J. and Edith (Johnson) McNamara, and was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill School.
On August 3, 1996 Marlene and Lawrence J. "Larry" Dauksza were united in marriage in Sherrill, NY and have shared this loving union of over twenty-three years together.
Marlene served as the bar steward for the William Russell American Legion Post 404 of Vernon where she was an active member of their Ladies Auxiliary.
In her spare time she enjoyed camping, riding motor cycles, and sun bathing yearly on Daytona Beaches. Her favorite times however, were spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Surviving are her husband Larry J. Dauksza, daughter Crystal (Michael) Beckwith, sons Brad and Dean Armstrong, step-son Matthew (Shannon) Dauksza; grandchildren, Ethan, Everly, and Emery Beckwith, Brad Jr., Corilynn, Brittany and Alex Armstrong, Lindzie Decarr, Alex, Ryann, Addison, Campbell, Athan and Graham Dauksza; three great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Mackenna, and Brad III. Also surviving are her nine siblings and their spouses, Lorraine (Steve) Disburger, Ronald (Nancy) McNamara, Patrick (Elaine) McNamara, Karen Lawton. Martin (Sharon) McNamara, Warren (Debbie) McNamara, Ellen Siebold, Michele (Clay) McNamara, and Nadine Clark, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A brief funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in St. Helena's Cemetery, Oneida, NY. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
