Obituary of Kathryn B. Rosselle

SHERRILL >> Kathryn Rosselle passed away peacefully Thursday, June 7, surrounded by her family, at Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford. She was 71. She was born Kathryn Ann Bush on Sunday, March 9, 1947 in Oneida, to Percy and Agnes Stone Bush. After spending a few early childhood years in Morrisville, Kathi became a lifelong resident of Sherrill. A 1965 graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Central School, Kathi also attended the University of Northern Michigan in Marquette. Employed by the City of Sherrill as the Director of Finance, Kathi retired in 2002. She started her life of service to the city as a lifeguard at Sunset Lake, and participated in local activities as a Girl Scout troop leader, teacher's aide, and softball coach. She was a member of St. Helena's Church. A talented sewing artist and craftswoman, Kathi's creations have gifted the homes of friends and family alike. Patients and clients of Oneida Hospital Auxiliary and Carenet, respectively, were recipients of Kathi's talent and generosity. Survivors include Michael Rosselle, her husband of 31 years, of Sherrill; Kathi's parents, Percy and Agnes Bush, of New Hartford; her children, Robyn Conniff of Carrboro, North Carolina, and Christopher Conniff of Sherrill, from her previous marriage to Robert Conniff of Sherrill; her sister Kristine (Shannon) Tilbe of Steamboat Springs, CO. She leaves behind a large number of beloved and treasured relatives and friends. Kathi's family would like to thank the wonderful staffs of the ICU at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Kevin Guest House of Buffalo, and the Siegenthaler Center. A special "thank you" goes to cousin Joanne Stone Ernenwein. All who remember Kathi are invited to calling hours at Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, on Wednesday, June 13, from 4-7pm. A mass at St. Helena's Church, 210 Primo Ave. will be held on Thursday, June 14, at 11am.
