Antoinette M. (Bartell) Means
Whitesboro-Antoinette M. (Bartell) Means, age 91, formerly of Clyne Place passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in St. Luke's Home.
She was born on July 12, 1923 in Oneida, New York, a daughter of the late Clarence and Jennie (Keiser) Bartell.
Antoinette was a 1942 graduate of Westmoreland Central School, 1945 graduate of Utica State Hospital School of Nursing and in 1965 received a degree from Syracuse University.
On September 12, 1946 she was united in marriage in St. Catherine's Church of Vernon with Ronald F. Means and shared that union of over fifty-four years together until Mr. Means' death on June 15, 2001.
Prior to her retirement in 1984 Antoinette was employed as a public health nurse with the City of Utica School system.
She was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Whitesboro.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Rosemary (Anthony) Pryzbyc of Newark, NY and Patricia (Patrick) Kahl of Oriskany, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton, New York.
