Patricia Ann Fleming
Knoxboro-Patricia Ann Fleming, age 85, of North Road passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 16, 2017 in Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born on July 30, 1932 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late George F. and Elsie A. (French) Collins.
Patricia received her education in the Buffalo Schools and graduated in 1954 from Buffalo State Teachers' College and Albright Art School. She taught for five years in the Norwich School System before marrying William Fleming on July 29, 1961 in St. Catherine's Church of Vernon and shared a loving union of forty-nine years together until William's death on September 23, 2010.
From 1984 to 2004 Patricia worked as the Post Master of the Knoxboro Post Office.
She was a member of Holy Family Church of Vernon. Pat taught religious instructions and played the organ for St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Oriskany Falls for twenty years.
Surviving are her four sons, Daniel Fleming of Madison, Douglas Fleming of Hubbardsville, Timothy Fleming of Cumming, GA and Thomas Fleming of Syracuse, one daughter, Kathleen Fleming of Knoxboro, nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Brent, Amy, Erin, Bryce, Brandon, Justin, Zachary, two sisters, Helen Corbelli of Buffalo and Betty L'Italien of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Malecki funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Peterboro Street, Vernon, New York.
