Obituary of Herbert A. Catlin

Herbert A. Catlin Sherrill-Herbert A. Catlin, age 91, a sixty year resident of Sherrill passed away Friday evening July 29, 2016. He was born on November 25, 1924 in Ticonderoga, New York a son of the late Bradford D. and Hazel (Sellingham) Catlin. Herb was a graduate of SUNY Canton where he received his Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering. Prior to his retirement Herb was employed with the RADC at Griffiss Air Force Base as a mechanical engineer and draftsman. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing and loved being with friends and family. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law Stephen (Pat) Catlin, one daughter and son-in-law, Nora (Tom) Evans, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his wives Dorothy Williams Catlin and Anita Bedford-Catlin, one sister Eleanor Young and one brother Aubrey Catlin. In keeping with Herb's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services at this time. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., Sherrill.
