I was so sad to hear of Mark's passing. The Wood family has been an important part of my family, the Lemons, for so many years - many of us from both families grew up together. My deepest condolences to Kathy and their family, and to Mark's siblings, especially Linda, who I grew up with. She and I and Mark and my brother Joe spent many good times together at each other's houses and with other family and friends get togethers. They were like family - we referred to their parents as aunt and uncle and each other as almost cousins. Mark's Dad and our Dad were close friends and colleagues at NY Telephone all the time they worked there. Mark was a unique and well-respected individual. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. May God bless his family and may he rest in peace. Godspeed, Mark. With Love, ALL the Lemons.

I loved hanging out at Mark’s house playing with Tracy and Matt, we are close in age. But whenever we tried a sleepover, I would show up at Mark’s bedside homesick and want to go home. I remember he would never make me feel bad about it, he would just get up and drive me home. I grew out of being homesick, I think because I could always count on my big brother to take me home. After I moved away to Tennessee I remember one Christmas I couldn’t be home because of my work schedule. I called to say hi and everyone was at Mom and Dad’s. They passed the phone around and Mark drew the short straw….I burst into tears. He stepped away from the holiday celebration to stay on the phone with me. He calmed me down and again cured my homesickness. Finally when our parents moved into the nursing home, every Christmas I cane home to stay with Mark and Kathy. Thanks for always bringing me home Mark, I love you Sherry

I will always remember His Wisdom! Some People are born with insights beyond their years. As A Younger Brother I treasured Him. He was a born Leader & had a very big influence on all of His 5 younger Brothers. Later as adults Mark & I ended up still located closest to our Parents & looking after them in their later years along w our Brother, Bob Wood. I am so proud of Mark & How much He meant to our entire Family. I learned alot from Him. Go forth to reunite w Family We love You, Lin
